Logo Evolution

Familiar, but modern.

Our logo is a thoughtful balance of our past and future. The flame embodies our deep history in academia, while the map pin alludes to our new brand of helping students get where they need to go.

The flame.

A familiar mark symbolizing our noble history and bright future.

The signature.

An elegant but declarative wordmark.

Logo Clearance

Delightful and demanding.

Wear our logo proudly, but use it thoughtfully. This is our primary logo, and you should use it for the majority of branding-related things. Don’t twist, turn or alter the logo unless it’s compliant with this guide.

Logo Variations

Flexible and contextual.

Here are a few different variations of how our logo can change or adapt, depending on  your needs and what the space requires.

Logo Color Variations

Adaptive and deliberate.

Sometimes you might need more color, and other times, you might need less. These color variations provide some flexibility for any occasion.

The logo should always appear as one of the lockups and color variations described in these guidelines. Never attempt to redraw or rescale the logo or add other graphic elements to it.

Torch

The ACE torch should not be used as a substitute for the ACE logo. It can be used as a large graphic element or when the full logo is not readable at a small size, such as in social media avatars. Reach out to marketing@ace.edu for all torch usage approval.

File Naming

Many versions of the logo have already been created for your use. These files follow a specific naming convention so you may quickly understand the contents of each file and locate them easily. Each part of the file name is an abbreviated form of information about the file.

Please reference the Logo Finder if you are unsure of which logo to use.

Brand Extension Logos

United and extensive.

As we broaden our horizons and expand to different areas of academia, these extensions will keep our brand uniform—subtly reinforcing the aesthetic of American College of Education. There are two tiers of sub-brand lockups.

TIER 1

Tier 1 logos are used for areas of academia, such as Business, Nursing and Healthcare, and alumni. The area of specialty always appears in a fixed position above the word mark in Blacker Display Bold. It should be title case and in ACE Primary Gray.

TIER 2

Tier 2 logos should be used for committees and programs. The area of specialty always appears in a fixed position to the right of the word mark in Blacker Display Bold. It should be title case and in ACE Primary Gray. The Tier 2 lockup has been created using precise proportional relationships to the logo and should not be altered.

PARTNERSHIPS AND SPONSORSHIPS

The logos of partners and co-sponsors should always be center-aligned, spaced equally and optically at the same size and separated by a hairline rule. Use the diagrams here to guide logo placement. The ACE logo should always appear first or top.

Collegiate Seal

Historic and official.

Our seal is a token of our profound history in education, our credibility as a college and our serious commitment to education. Often, you’ll find our seal on official documents — diplomas, transcripts and more.

Avatars

To ensure the brand is easily identifiable at a smaller size, the ACE torch is used for avatars.
